Today, I post a photographic study of a mosque here on Camp Victory. This mosque once served Saddam Hussein's Ba'ath Party leadership. Today, it sits empty and silent in a corner of the Abu Guhraib Palace Complex.

Political, historical and cultural commentary from the halls of the Texas capitol to the sands of Iraq. From the perspective of someone who's seen and done it all.

James,
This is beautiful. Brought tears to my eyes when you were talking about family. Family is so important. I am thankful for everyone serving our country. I have a nephew at Camp Taji and a brother in law at Camp Victory right now. All the servicemen and women are always in my prayers.
